Updates from the bush – the three newest additions to the lion community of Mashatu are now 2 months old and growing strong. The Lion cubs have been spotted around the reserve on sporadic occasions when their mother and aunt have allowed them to leave their den for a play. They all seem to be in good health and have made it through the first heavy rains on the reserve.
Mom, aunt and cousins (now 9 months old) have been spotted more frequently on game drives hunting in the evenings and resting in shady spots by day – as lions do.
We will keep you posted on the three little ones progress, but for now we hope you all have a happy festive season!
