Today we chat to Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu manager, Rose.
As a lodge manager, I am responsible for all aspects of the lodge’s operations. This includes food and beverages, housekeeping, curios, maintenance, gardening and guest services.
I was born and raised in Maun. I have always wanted to work in hospitality, and started in the industry in the year 2000. Prior to that, I lived in an area with many wild animals. We always had wildlife people patrolling the land to keep poachers away from the animals, which I loved. I was introduced to safaris by a friend, and I was thrilled to be a part of it.
Meeting and interacting with guests from all over the world. We always strive to exceed their expectations.
I enjoy the fact that every day presents me with new challenges. This has provided me with the opportunity to learn, and improve my problem-solving and organisational skills.
Being customer-focused, understanding the needs and expectations of our guests.
Leopards, because they are so adorable.
Saddle-Billed Stork. I find it fascinating that they can feed while walking or standing in shallow water.
Cottage pie – it’s appearance and aroma make it appealing to the senses.
