For stays from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026, the beautiful green season offers incredible sightings and warm days. Our exciting specials offer a dream Christmas Safari Holiday, perfect for family and friends.

What makes this christmas season special?
November to January’s green season is one of the most spectacular times to visit Mashatu.
After the first summer rains, the landscape transforms into a lush green haven with yellow devil thorn flowers across the reserve creating a sea of yellow.
The season of birth — baby elephants, antelope calves, and predator cubs add excitement to every sighting. Families especially love witnessing these tender moments in the wild.
Soft golden sunsets, grand cloud formations, occasional afternoon thunderstorms and starry night skies make for truly cinematic safari photography.
With over 350 bird species, birdwatching at Mashatu peaks in summer as migratory birds return due to the abundant new life and greenery.
Enjoy world-class game viewing, luxurious lodges, and adventure-filled activities that offers exclusivity and a safari at your own pace.
